I requested to speak with the manager on shift. She was very polite and courtesy. I showed her my call log on my phone. # TjMaxx Corp. Explained my first encounter with cashier about exchanges. And from there she solved the issue. I was pleased with her customer service.

On line customer service useless

I have an account with TJMaxx on line. Someone from my household used their credit card in my account and purchased some stuff for $92.00.

When they receive the bill, they did not realize that they used my account and disputed the charges. When I tried to make an on line purchased I could not, so I called customer service and they told me that my account was blocked because someone disputed the charges.

When I realized what happened, the dispute was closed and I sent the email to TJMAXX customer service with all explanations, they accepted the explanation and told me that accounting department will resolve the issue soon.

Every time I speak with customer service, they are telling me that the account is still being investigated by accounting department and the customer service cannot do anything only manager can explain the issue. Every time I called customer service, they open the case for manager to call back, then nobody calls and then when I called to find out the status, I was being told that the case is closed and they can open a new case and this is going on since August 2023.

When I tried to call corporate or accounting departments to find out what is going on with my account, the only option is given to call the same number for customer service I been calling since August, so it is a loop.

Hello, just as I explained before, he placed the order from NY and even returned some things, as you can see, but when he received the statement, the statement said CA, so he did not realize it was his charges and disputed it. When we realized what happened, he closed the dispute and I did send the letter from the credit card to your customer service explaining that the dispute is closed with proof and all explanations and your customer service reviewed everything and I was told that the account will be opened, but unfortunately it is still a problem.

Every time I call customer service, since August, I am told that they cannot provide the status, it is not visible to them. When I request someone who can explain what is going on, they open a case for the manager to call me and again nobody calls and the cases have been closed without results, that is why I am confirming that customer service is not capable of solving any issues. your household member is being dishonest. BTW, it was just an honest mistake, It is not about the money, it was $92.00 and the return was for $66.00, so if as you said we are not honest people, then why would he return things that did not fit, if he wanted to keep 92.00?

As I explained before, it was a mistake from both customer service and my brother, you did accept his card under my account, not sure why, but if you did not then I would not have an issue. Stella

Why would this other person dispute the charges because it was under your profile? Neither one of you are out any money and for that matter their bill doesn’t indicate whose profile their purchase was made under. It sounds like your household member is being dishonest.

Order never shipped, charged shipping for return???

I ordered for the first time on marshalls.com. I received an email 4 days later saying the items had shipped. I spent over the required $89 to get free shipping. The day after the email saying my items had shipped, I received another email saying they received my returns??? So they never shipped the items and then deducted $12 for return shipping. What a scam! How many people have they done this to that haven't noticed and just received a partial refund for items they never shipped in the first place! Needless to say I will not be shopping from any of their online sites again.

I purchased a vest last week I brought my receipt in with the vest and to return it. The store will not take it back even though they sold it to me with the wrong tag on it then I returned another item that was purchased.

I was given part cash and part was to go on my debit card, and the bank is not showing any transaction transpiring, its like it didnt happen. I called the store and I spoke to Debbie.

This is in Lincoln California, and she kept repeating herself, and like I was stupid and then proceeded to holler at me and then when I tried to reciprocate not even yelling just told her I wanted to speak to another manager she slammed the phone down and put me on hold . Then when she got back on the phone, I asked her her name she wouldnt give it to me, she said give me your name and number I said no Id like your name she wouldnt give it to me finally after like six or seven times of me, call me saying I just want your name so I know who helped me she Said her name was Debbie and then hung up in my face.

Account being blocked and customer service cannot resolved

My account has been blocked to the fault of both TJMaxx on line and myself. The information and explanation were provided and accepted by your company and I was told that my account would be opened for purchases.

Every time I called your customer service is saying that they cannot do anything and I do record all the conversations and your customer service aware of it and you also record them, so you can check. When I asked for a manager or someone who can explain to me what is going on I am told that nothing cannot be done, just wait.

They do tell me that the manager will call me back, but as you are aware of, nobody calls, it is just an excuse to get rid of me. Please advice what need to be done to resolve the issue

As mentioned before, customer service could not resolved my issue and when I requested the manager, I was told that no managers available and they will call me back. I happens every time I called during 3 months and no manager ever called back. there is not way to resolve the issue, which was fault on both sides. I cannot get through TJMAXX customer service. When I called corporates, they just transfer you to the same customer service # , so you cannot reach anyone.

RETURN ISSUE

GOOD MORNING:

I HAVE an issue on a return and need help in getting this successfully resolved.

My daughter, Caroline, had an event this month, requiring a professional, dress for the business event.

AS you are always are # 1 store, she immediately went on line to look at appropriate dresses for this dinner.

She purchased several dresses on-line to try on at home and all was wonderful with her choice.

However, the event had to be cancelled due to COVID and I need to return the remaining dresses; all are still in clear plastic bags, on hangers, and with sales receipt, etc. all are in perfect order.

However, I am 5 days beyond the cancellation policy and can only receive a store credit for the $350.00 charge for returned items - again, in perfect condition.

I am asking if an exception could be made for this return and the credit be issued back to my credit card.

This would be wonderful as I was not aware of how much my daughter, Caroline, was purchasing on - line shopping.

The dresses were all very attractive, but I cannot afford to keep all of them and need the credit applied to my credit card would be a huge assistance to me at this time.

Your buyers did a tremendous job in getting these lovely dresses posted on line and with great pricing. And, then COVID hit and all have to go back which is a bit disappointing as lovely dresses.

I would appreciate if you could please review my request and have the credit applied to my credit card as a service to us.

My sincerest thanks for your time and attention in this matter and would like to hear from you on this request getting a bit anxious with another day passing and cannot afford the $350.00.

Just received two nasty comments from who may be employees.

10/25/23: I wish I could say that this store has improved but it hasn't! I don't know how they can have a 4.1 rating (must be the employees posting good reviews).

The problem is that there are very low class customers shopping here that jump the line when you're trying to pay for an item and cashier workers who are rude and don't care. I was on line a woman practically pushed me aside when cashier number 2 was available.

I went to the cashier I told her this woman jumped ahead of me and instead of saying something to the woman she was rude to me when she clearly saw that I was online! Manager I hope you are reading the bad reviews as well and I would appreciate a response.
The manager there does not seem to care about the customers and many of the employees are rude.

It is obvious that things will never improve at the Edgewater, NJ location with management that does not care about the customer and employees who are uneducated and don't know the meaning of the word customer service. The comments I received below just show people who do not take ownership of their lack of pro-activeness.

I was in the store ON THE LINE; not online (typo). What I have experienced at this location are employees who are apathetic. If that's the way you want to keep customers then I fear you are missing the point.

You cannot have a business without customers and you will have no job. I am not a bitter person, however, I am someone who takes action when treated disrespectfully when I know for a fact that I am not in the wrong.

I did say something to the customer and the cashier saw me clearly! She should have said something as well!

She new I was the next in line.. Instead of attacking the me; the customer who has been shopping at this store for decades why don't you train your employees properly to respect the customers.

Without the good customers there will be no store and no jobs for you people. I will take the next step.

I live in GA. But every time Ive been into a location its typically what you expect. Theres gonna be stuff on the floor and things in places where they shouldnt be. I like their stores. I havent done any online ordering,but maybe in the future I will try it out.

You can forget about employment here. You remind me of this digruntled customer that was a regular at a international health supplments store I once managed.

She acted a fool everytime she came in and one day she actually asked for an employment application. She filled it out at the counter and I threw it in the trash.

No way was she going to be hired. Not on my watch.

Getting an unwelcome and unwarranted RUNAROUND

A week ago I purchased a jacket or a vest Calvin Klein at my local TJ Maxx. It didnt fit my daughter so I brought it immediately back to the store.

I have the receipt the tags are on it. Apparently the tag does not match the vest or jacket whatever and so I guess according to the tag it is a Ralph Lauren black jacket when I bought a pink Calvin Klein vest but the tag was on the best. Nobodys changed the tag.

Nobody has bought anything else its and I have all the paperwork there should be no reason, none of the stores will take it back. I am stuck with the $70 jacket/vest and its like Im being treated like I stole it or switch tags or did something shady I just want my money back and I want people to keep their opinions that are made up of absolute nonsense to themselves, because the problem here is that nobody paid attention a quality check their work, and now I am paying for it a pretty penny on top of it .

User's recommendation: If you’re not dying to have it and you don’t wanna be stuck with it forever if you should not like it or it doesn’t fit properly then just leave it at the store and let it be their problem. Also make sure that you have them check all the tags against the clothing when you purchase them and leave the store so that they cannot accuse you of being some weird person who walks around the store changing tags.

Credit Card/Customer Service Difficulty

Hi- Ive made attempts in store and with credit card customer service via phone. The original store associate/manager that helped me open my TJMaxx credit card was in a rush and did not pay attention when putting in the wrong address for the card- she told me it was okay to still use the digital card number (1st purchase 10% off and other purchases after).

I called customer service told them- they said to request a new card. I obtained rewards points on the original card and now the new card. In store associates/managers when Ive asked told me that my points would all stay together. They did not- theyre on separate cards- when asked again they said customer service could fix it.

I called and they said it cannot be done.

I now have lost reward points for someone elses mistake. How can this be fixed and I obtain my points on my current card?

Poor Store Performance and Improper Knowledge & Conduct

So I shopped at Marshalls in Manalapan yesterday. Found a cute pair of sneakers in the Clearance Section w a red Clearance Sale tag.

When I went to check out the young female cashier informed me it was the wrong tag & someone in that Dept tagged it incorrectly so they werent obligated to honor the price (it was a $3 difference) I told her there was about 8 more pair also marked down.

I was quite amused at her explanation. I basically politely explained that if that was the price on the item they were legally obligated to honor the price. She again said no that they werent obligated to honor it (as she removed the tag)

She offered to get her manager to which I responded oh ok thats fine. About 2 minutes later an older woman came and inquired what the issue was.

I again explained that the store was legally obligated to honor the marked price. She said the same thing as the cashier to which I next asked to please see the written policy. She responded that there was no written policy. Now im in my head thinking no way this is acceptable to ANY CONSUMER!!!

So I stood my ground. I responded to her laughing and said so basically you are making up the policy as you go along? She got frustrated and said I was welcomed to speak with the manager. I asked what her title was she explained she was the front end coordinator.

She asked if I wanted a manager I responded yes please thank you .

A full five minutes later as they searched for the manager no one appeared. Suddenly the original cashier ( she appeared to be all of 20) said the price was approved that she didnt want to argue anymore. I explained that I wasnt trying to upset her but the explanation was unacceptable. It was a matter of principle folks.

She burst into tears so I said to her look Im not a Karen Im not trying to upset you personally but your store policy is unacceptable. She wailed and carried on telling me how disrespectful I was being to her. I was so dumbfounded at the ignorance of the store employees I had to post on this here. I spent $250 and felt so disrespected at the point I was trying to make for every single consumer that bought into this ridiculousness!!!

In the end i paid the marked down price but what I walked out with was a bad bad taste in my mouth. I hope that each and every one of you stand up for yourselves because if you dont you will be taken advantage of. Im off to fwd this to corporate if you see something you need to say something!

They dont seem to have knowledge of your company policy! You do not get to rip the people off! We arent as dumb as we look. There is power in numbers.

Ive already been contacted by the news looking to interview me for a story.
